Geothermal Heating and Cooling
High Efficiency, Cost Saving Heating and Cooling
When outdoor temperatures fluctuate with the seasons, the underground temperatures do not. Four to six feet below Earth’s surface, the temperatures remain constant 58 degrees. Geothermal System, which typically consist of an indoor unit and buried earth loops, used the earth’s basically constant temperatures to provide you with “free energy” for your home. In winter, fluid circulates through the system’s earth loops, absorbs stored heat and carries it indoor to heat your home. The indoor unit compresses the heat to a higher temperature and distributes it throughout your home. In the summer months, the system reverses, pulling heat from the building, carrying it though the earth buried loops and depositing it in the cooler earth surface.
System is Environmentally Friendly – Geothermal units emit no carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide or other greenhouse gasses, which are considered to be major contributor to environmental air pollution.
Installation of a single Geothermal Unit is environmentally equivalent to planting 750 trees or removing two cars from the road.
Geothermal Heat Pumps also help electric utilities achieve significant reduction in their peak demand loads.
